The Kuhlmann Electro Heat IBC base leg heater slides in under the IBC — between the pallet feet — and straps tight against the underside of the container to heat it from below. It works on its own, or alongside an insulation or heating jacket, to hold or raise the temperature of viscous and temperature-sensitive products.
The Kuhlmann Electro Heat IBC base leg heater warms an intermediate bulk container from underneath. It slides in under the container — between the pallet feet, opposite the way the IBC is lifted — and the straps wrap around the IBC and pull the heated panels tight against the base.
Used on its own, the base leg heater holds or raises the product temperature so viscous or temperature-sensitive contents stay pumpable and easy to discharge with minimal waste. For extra performance it can be combined with an insulation or heating jacket and a lid.
The build-on DigiTherm digital controller gives accurate setpoint control, a countdown timer and an optional slow ramp-up, and can display ºC or ºF. It reads a type K thermocouple.
The heater runs at 405 W on 230 VAC across a working range of 0-90ºC and ships ready to use with a Schuko plug on a 2,9 metre cable. It is protected by an internal thermal fuse and Class II construction, and rated IP40 with IP54 available for the controller.
Remove the base leg heater before lifting or moving the IBC with a forklift, and never switch it on without a filled container. Pull all straps tight so the panels sit flat against the base, and keep at least 50 cm clearance around the heated container.
For industrial use only, operated by personnel familiar with heating-equipment safety. Do not use near flammable liquids or in explosion-risk areas — use ATEX-certified products there. High-Temp and Food & Pharma constructions to 0-200ºC and other sizes are available on request.
