Viscous materials such as syrup, sugar and fats can be difficult to discharge from a 300 litre IBC. Heating the container with an IBC heating jacket makes the material smoother and less viscous, reducing waste and expense. The CompactLine model is our 1000 litre container heater scaled to the 300 litre container.
When at room temperature many materials become viscous, which makes them harder to discharge from an IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container). Syrup, sugar, fats and similar products are particularly difficult to empty, and thick product left clinging to the container walls is simply wasted.
Heating the container first solves it. The 300 litre IBC container heater wraps around the container and quickly brings fluids and materials up to temperature, so they can be pumped or poured out with minimal to no waste product.
This is the CompactLine model, built for 300 litre IBCs — the same construction as our 1000 litre container heater, scaled to the smaller container. The heated jacket measures 2590 × 760 mm and draws 1150 W from a 230 V supply.
A single digital thermostat is adjustable from 0 to 90ºC and includes a timer function, so the container can be brought up to temperature and held there without supervision, keeping the wanted viscosity for the content in the container.
The jacket is made from Cordura and silicone-coated fibreglass in a durable, long lasting lightweight construction, and the quick release buckles make it easy to attach to any standard 300 litre container. At 8 kg it is easy for one person to fit, and it can stay on during transport where the content has to hold a specific temperature or viscosity.
TIP! For a faster and optimal heating process we recommend the matching insulation lid (item 26-4943, sold separately). Without a lid it is difficult to bring the container up to the target temperature, because most of the heat escapes through the open top.
The container heater can be used to heat a variety of liquids, e.g. water, resin, oil, diesel fuel and many other industrial liquids, and allows them to be poured or pumped with ease. It is intended for indoor use or under cover.
The IBC container heater is supplied as standard with IP40 protection. For environments where exposure to water spray or moisture is a factor — such as food and pharmaceutical production areas with regular wash-down cycles — we also offer the heater with IP54 protection. Contact us for details.
